Le Rocher is located 3km from the village of Moulins-le-Carbonnel, in the heart of the Alpes Mancelles, the “little Alps”. It is a preserved and hilly corner of nature, crossed by the Sarthe river, and which exceeds 200 meters in altitude. Here the regrouping remained discreet. Canoe-kayak and mountain bike routes allow you to discover this unspoiled part of the Sarthe valley, particularly the villages of Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei (listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in France), Saint-Léonard-des- Bois and the small medieval town of Fresnay-sur-Sarthe. There are many visits and discoveries to be made around the gîte. The city of Le Mans is rich in history, the city of Alençon, located on the Paris – Brest axis, has a market on Saturday morning and Thursday morning. The village of Sillé-Le-Guillaume shelters the shores of a 35-hectare body of water offering a nautical leisure center called "Sillé beach".
